Gameplay
Yuanwu enters the battle first to use his Resonance Skill. Then, use his Normal Attacks to charge the Concerto Energy while also making sure that the enemies are inside the Thunder Wedge's range.
Once the Concerto Energy is fully charged, switch to Xiangli Yao. Switching from Yuanwu to Calcharo will weaken the Vibration Strength of enemies upon impact.
Once Xiangli Yao is in the field, use his optimal combos to charge his Resonance Liberation. Then, cast it to slow down enemy movement and enter the Intuition state.
In the Intuition state, aim to consume Xiangli Yao's Resonance Skill - Laws of Reigns three times before the Intuition state ends.
Switch to Yuanwu again once the Concerto Energy has fully charged up. If you need healing, switch to Baizhi instead.

Quick team Guide:
Yinlin's Outro Skill gives Electro and Liberation DMG Bonus which increases Xiangli Yao’s damage.
Yinlin also adds a Punishment Mark on enemies that when attacked will send out a coordinated attack for extra damage.
Verina is the best Healer we have that can also increase ATK and deal coordinated attacks.
Gameplay
Verina starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until it is full. When available, use her Resonance Liberation so you can apply Photosynthesis Marks on enemies.
Switch to Yinlin and charge up her Forte using her optimal combos. Once charged, execute a heavy attack to apply a Mark.
Once the Mark is applied, charge up her Concerto Energy and use her Resonance Liberation. Yinlin's Resonance Liberation should hit multiple times that deal coordinated attacks. After using her Ultimate, switch out to Xiangli Yao.
Once Xiangli Yao is in the field, use his optimal combos to fully charge his Resonance Liberation. Then, cast it to slow down enemies and enter the Intuition state.
Once you are in the Intuition state, aim to consume three Hypercubes by casting Xiangli Yao's Resonance Skill - Laws of Reigns three times. After that, swap out to the team's Sub-DPS or Support.
Gameplay
Verina starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up. When available, use her Resonance Liberation so you can apply Photosynthesis Marks on enemies.
Switch to Jianxin and use her optimal combos. Once the Concerto Energy is full, switch to Xiangli Yao, he will gain a Resonance Liberation DMG buff due to Jianxin's Outro Skill.
Once Xiangli Yao is in the field, use his optimal combos to charge his Resonance Liberation. Then, cast it to slow down enemies and more importantly, enter the Intuition state.
Once you are in the Intuition state, aim to use Xiangli Yao's Resonance Skill - Laws of Reigns three times before the Intuition state ends. After that, swap out to the team's Sub-DPS or Support.

Xiangli Yao Ultimate Buff Main DPS Team
Jianxin and Changli are the next best in slot Teammates if you don’t have Yinlin. Jianxin can buff Xiangli Yao's Ultimate DMG using her Outro Skill. You can also get Jianxin for FREE from the 5-Star Resonator Selector.
How to Play Xiangli Yao
Use at least 1 standard Resonance Skill before doing burst combos in order to have enough Concerto to cast his outro. His Resonance Skill is very fast, can be swap cancelleed and generates good resonance energy.
The Resonance Skill has a short cooldown of 4 seconds and can be used before other characters actions to get faster Ultimates.
If Xiangli Yao's ultimate is still on cooldown you can keep him on field or do a quick switch before casting it.

Burst Combo
Xiangli Yao's field time focuses on his ultimate burst window. Before starting ensure you line up all of your teams kit and echo buffs/amplifications, Xiangli Yao's intro and cast at least 1 Deduction.
Below is Xiangli Yao's most optimal combo (without switching mid-ultimate):
Using Xiangli Yao's ultimate places him in the Intuition state for 24 seconds. While it's active, all his abilities are enhanced - this ability will end after you execute Forte: Skill: Law of Reigns 3 times.
Xiangli Yao's most powerful ability after activating his ultimate is Forte: Skill Law of Reigns, but it requires 5 Performance Capacity to use (Ultimate Forte Gauge). Your goal is to build Performance Capacity as fast as possible, execute 3 Law of Reigns and work towards the next ultimate.
The fastest way to build 5 Performance Capacity is to use Ultimate: Skill: Divergence followed by a Forte: Mid-Air Atk: Revamp. But you can't repeat this 3 times for all 3 Law of Reigns as it has a cooldown of 7 seconds.
To get around this we must use the next best way of generating Performance capacity while the cooldown expires - casting 3 Ultimate: Basic: Pivot - Impales.
Combining all this forms Xiangli Yao's combo. You start with the optimal Performance Capacity combo of Divergence + Revamp followed by a Law of Reigns then use 3 Pivot's followed by another law of Reigns while you wait for the cooldown then finish off the final Law of Reigns once again with Divergence + Revamp.
This combo may need to be altered in some combat scenarios to incorporate dodge counters if you find yourself needing them against the enemy you're facing.

*Note: Most of Xiangli Yao's skills within his burst combo are swap cancellable. But this comes at a cost, a lot of the most powerful team buffs (outro amplifications) only apply to the entering character while they remain on field. This means you must choose between swap cancelling and amplification outro buffs and which is best will depend on your choice of team mate. Yinlin for example offers Xiangli Yao 20% Electro amplification and 25% Liberation amplification for not switching out, something that is very much worth considering giving up swap cancel for. Changli on the other hand offers far less outro amplification options and benefits far more from swap cancels to power up her damage dealing rotation.

Xiangli Yao is a 5-Star Electro character who uses Gauntlets.
Xiangli Yao's kit is built around obtaining Capacity and Performance Capacity stacks, while managing the Intuition mode that activates after his Resonance Liberation is used.
Xiangli Yao can hold up to 100 Capacity, and he obtains Capacity for every Probe Basic Attack and Deduction Resonance Skill on hit. When Xiangli Yao has 100 Capacity, his Deduction Resonance Skill is replaced with Decipher, which is considered Resonance Liberation damage.
However, when in the Intuition mode triggered by his Resonance Liberation, Xiangli Yao cannot obtain Capacity, and instead builds Performance Capacity. He can hold up to five Performance Capacity, with one gained as soon as his Resonance Liberation is activated, one when Stage 1 of his Pivot Impale Basic Attack hits a target, two when Stage 2 and 3 of Pivot Impale hits a target, and two for every Resonance Skill Divergence on hit. Finally, Xiangli Yao obtains three Performance Capacity for every Revamp Mid-air Attack on hit.
When Xiangli Yao is in the Intuition mode with five Performance Capacity stacks, his Divergence Resonance Skill is replaced with Law of Reigns, which is also considered Resonance Liberation damage.
Wuthering Waves Xiangli Yao Resonance Chain (duplicates)
By getting duplicates of Xiangli Yao from pulling on his Banner, you will receive his Wavebands, and you can also purchase a few Wavebands from the in-game shop. Wavebands are an important item, as they allow you to unlock Resonance Chain levels, with each level either improving an existing Skill or passive ability.
Sequence Node 1 (S1): Resonance Skill Law of Reigns additionally launches 6 Convolution Matrices at enemies, each dealing Resonance Liberation DMG equal to 8% of the skill's DMG Multiplier.
Sequence Node 2 (S2): Casting Resonance Skill or Resonance Liberation Cogitation Model increases Crit. DMG by 30% for 8s.
Sequence Node 3 (S3): Casting Resonance Liberation Cogitation Model increases the DMG of the following Resonance Skill moves by 63% for 24s: Decipher, Deduction, Divergence, and Law of Reigns. This effect can be triggered up to 5 times.
Sequence Node 4 (S4): Casting Resonance Liberation Cogitation Model grants a 25% DMG Bonus to all team members' Resonance Liberation for 30s.
Sequence Node 5 (S5): The DMG Multiplier of Outro Skill Chain Rule is increased by 222%. The DMG Multiplier of Resonance Liberation Cogitation Model is increased by 100%.
Sequence Node 6 (S6): The Hypercubes obtained from Resonance Liberation Cogitation Model are enhanced, increasing the DMG Multiplier of Resonance Skill Law of Reigns by 76%.
