Best Champion to Start with in RAID
Your first major decision in RAID is selecting one of four starter Champions: Kael, Athel, Galek, or Elhain. Each offers unique playstyle, but they’re not equally strong for long-term success. Here’s a quick guide to help you select the best Start Champion, and why.
Best Starter Champion: Kael
Why Choose Kael?
Kael excels with his AoE damage and Poison debuffs, which are critical for boss fights and farming. He’s effective across all game modes, from Campaign to Dungeons, and even in Arena making him a very strong long-term asset.
How to Build Kael
At the beggining you can Equip Kael with a Lifesteal Set to boost survivability while leveling him to 6-stars. Farm his masteries in the Minotaur Dungeon or unlock them with 800 Gems.

If Kael isn’t your style, Elhain is a decent second choice, but Kael remains the most versatile and impactful option.
Other Starter Champions
Athel: Decent all-around Champion, good for beginners, but lacks the versatility of Kael.
Galek: Strong early game but falls off in effectiveness as you progress.
Elhain: Great AoE damage, but like Galek, she doesn’t scale well into the late game.
Starting strong in RAID: Shadow Legends sets the stage for an enjoyable journey through its various game modes. Choosing Kael as your starter Champion, equipping the right gear, and gradually unlocking content are all keys to success.

Early Game Progression Tips
Focus on Campaign Mode. Level up your Champions by farming Campaign stages. This also unlocks additional content, champions and gives you resources.
Gear Your Team Wisely
Equip Champions with sets that boost survivability and damage:
Lifesteal Set: Essential for sustain, especially for Kael.
Speed Set: Increases turn frequency, controlling the flow of battle.
Other 2 Piece Sets that give HP, DEF, and DMG.
Upgrade items to +12 early on for cost efficiency. Only go for higher upgrades (+16) if you need to pass the progression missions or to do a 3-Star full clear campaign for unlocking Shard to Summon more champions.
All your beginner champions should have Lifesteal Set until you find something better or get a stronger Healer Champion to help with sustain.
Campaign and Dungeon Strategies
Campaign Mode: The best place to level up Champions and farm experience.
Dungeons: Start exploring once you need Resources to upgrade your Champions.
Long-Term Success
Explore Dungeons Gradually
Start with easier stages and adjust your team based on the dungeon boss.Join a Clan
Clans provide rewards, guidance, and Clan Boss battles for valuable loot.Daily Logins Matter

Use duplicate or low-rarity Champions as “food” to rank up stronger ones. Keep only the best for Faction Wars or Tag Team Arena. Be sure not to use the ones for FUSION, you’ll need these to unlock stronger champions and progress through Missions.
Advanced Tips for mid-game Progression
Utilize Champion Auras
Assign a Champion with an Aura ability as your team leader to boost stats like HP% or Damage in battle.Faction Wars
Complete daily Faction Wars for Glyphs and Forge materials. Save your best Glyphs for high-quality artifacts.Plan for the Long Term
Avoid over-investing in Champions or gear that won’t scale into the late game. Focus on building a core team capable of handling diverse challenges.
Final Tip: Patience Pays Off
Focus on steady progress, building a solid team. Equip wisely, learn the mechanics, and most importantly enjoy the journey!
