Best Sonata Effects for Aalto

Recommended Sonata Set for Aalto: Moonlit Clouds (5-pc)

  • 2 set: Energy Regen +10%.

  • 5 set: After using Outro Skill, increases the ATK of the next Resonator by 22.5% for 15s.

Recommended Main Echo for Aalto: Impermanence Heron

  • Supportive Echo that can be run at the cost of a sizeable chunk of damage for the character who equips, trading personal gain for team benefits. Should always be used and immediately switch cancelled right before performing an Outro, leading to another DPS. When done so will grant the next character switching in 12% increased DMG% which when combined with the 5P Moonlit set which also grants 22.5% ATK% under the same conditions makes for a sizeable boost.

While the echo does lower the damage of whoever wears it, it grants a massive chunk of energy on use usually saving 1 or sometimes even 2 Energy Regen sub stats that may otherwise be needed by the wearer allowing for some damage to be recovered.

Recommended Endgame Stats for Aalto

*Important — CRIT DMG shows 150% and Energy Regen shows 100% when you check in-game. The recommended stats below show how much on top of it you need to get.

  • CRIT RATE%: 70%+ or a 1/2 ratio with C.DMG

  • CRIT DMG% 110% or more

  • Energy Regeneration: 30-40%

    • Aalto's ultimate is essential for achieving his optimal Concerto rotation as such we recommend getting 30-40% Energy Regen so he'll have it every time you need it.

Best F2P (free-to-play) and other team comps for Aalto in Wuthering Waves

Aalto Team Example 1

Aalto Team
Sub-DPS Main DPS Support
Wuthering Waves - Aalto Aalto Wuthering Waves - Jiyan Jiyan Wuthering Waves - Verina Verina

This team composition focuses on buffing Jiyan's overall damage in battle using Aalto's buffs. Aalto can increase Jiyan's Aero DMG.

Gameplay

  1. Verina starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up.

  2. Once Aalto is fully charged, switch to him. Verina's Outro Skill will increase his ATK and provide the entire party with an All-Type DMG Deepen buff.

  3. Keep attacking the enemy with Aalto until his Resonance Liberation is up. Activate Aalto's Resonance Liberation as soon as you can and then switch to Jiyan to increase the latter's Aero DMG.

  4. Use Jiyan's Resonance Liberation to enter Qingloong Mode and deal a lot of DMG with his Resonance Skill and Heavy Attacks.

  5. Repeat the steps until the enemy is felled.

How to Play Aalto

Resonant Skill Taunts Enemies

Aalto's Resonant Skill can taunt enemies, which will redirect enemy attacks to his Mist Avatar instead of the active character. Mist Drops will also attack the enemy, dealing Aero DMG.

The Mist Avatar has a set amount of HP, so it can only take so much damage then it disappears.

Hit and Run With Mist

After using Aalto's Resonant Skill or his 4th Basic Attack, he will conjure up a Mist. If Aalto dodges toward the Mist, he'll enter the Mist Dash state which will increase his movement speed and attack with Mist Drops.

This encourages Aalto's Hit and Run playstyle when he's on the field since Mist allows him to attack and move away from enemies without hassle.

Resonance Liberation Increases Bullet ATK

Aalto's Resonance Liberation summons a “Gate of Quandary” in front of him. Every time Aalto's bullets pass through the “Gate of Quandary”, their ATK gets increased.

Increase the Next Character's Aero DMG with Outro Skill

When you switch Aalto out to the next character, the switched character gains an Aero DMG Deepen for 14 seconds, which increases overall Aero DMG.

Aalto Combos

Optimal Rotation Combo

Combo: Intro Skill → Res. Lib → Res. Skill → Basic Attack Combo → Mist Dash (Repeat Basic Attack and Mist Dash until Concerto is full) → Echo → Outro

Start by using Aalto's Intro Skill followed by his Resonance Liberation. Afterwards, use Aalto's Resonance Skill then do a full Basic Attack combo to procure a Mist. Once the Mist is up, pass through them to perform Mist Dash.

Repeat the Basic Attacks and Mist Dash combo until the Concerto Energy is full. Finally, use Aalto's Echo then switch to the DPS character to buff them with an Aero DMG Deepen.
