Server maintenance starts on January 30, from 4 p.m.–6 p.m. PST for Oceania, China, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and Europe Servers, and on January 31, from 12 a.m.–2 a.m. PST for servers in the Americas.
After the maintenance has concluded, all items mentioned below will be live—specific dates for any content going live afterward are provided below.
TONG-SHI'S RENEWAL LIMITED-TIME EVENT
From January 31, 3:00 a.m.–February 25 2:59 a.m. server time, players can complete up to five tasks a day to earn festive rewards, such as Red Bags and Tseym.
The 5 tasks to complete for rewards include: Dungeons, Elder Rifts, killing elite monsters, Bounties, and defeating Jingun (who becomes available to destroy on February 9). Completing these tasks earns you Red Bags and Tseym. There is no limit to the number of times you can complete these tasks for rewards, but there is a weekly limit for how many rewards you can earn, to a limit of 30 Red Bags and 100 Tseym each week that Tong-Shi's Renewal is active.
*Red Bags are celebratory Tong-Shi’s Renewal rewards that can be gifted to a friend or to your Clan. Not only will you receive rewards when you open Red Bags sent to you, but you’ll also receive rewards for sending Red Bags. Spread the blessings of Tong-Shi’s Renewal by sending and receiving as many Red Bags as you can get your hands on! Don’t forget to claim a free Red Bag every day you log-in from the log-in rewards tab within the event, which will not contribute to your overall limit.
Completing daily event tasks can also yield Tseyms.
Each time you contribute a Tseym, you’ll receiveve a random reward:
Gold
Scrap
Dust
Glowing Shards
Gem
Turning in numerous Tseym will combine multiple amounts of the same reward (Ex: Turn in 10 Tseym, you may receive 50 gold). Each Tysem turned in during the limited-time event contributes 500 Gold to Tong-Shi's Trove. Tong-Shi's Trove will grant double the Gold deposited if it’s claimed after February 17.
Players can also receive rewards such as the bound Legendary Crests and Spark Cask for logging in on the following days: February 2, February 3, February 6, February 9, February 10 February 14, February 17, February 21 and February 24.
Jingun, Eater of Mountains
From January 31–February 8, 3 a.m. local server time, you can complete a daily task that transports you outside the world of Sanctuary to locate Signs of Jingun, which reward you with Gold, Scrap, and Dust.
Once Jingun has been found on February 8, you’ll be able to claim 3 Rare Crests and begin creating raids to fight Jingun. Your first vanquishing of Jingun grants 1 Telluric Pearl, and 1 random Legendary item.
HOWLER HUNT LIMITED-TIME EVENT
From January 31, 3 a.m.–February 21, 3 a.m. server time. Available from Level 30 and above.
Gameplay
During the Match, one of your companions will become The Howler. The Howler is tasked with sabotaging their former companions’ progress, using additional threats to their advantage to disrupt any progress made. Howlers can summon Undead Incursions and blighted Sacred Wards to cause chaos and sow the seeds of dissent from the shadows.
Embodying the night terror of The Howler presents unbridled advantages, but those that can master their lunar urges will reign supreme. Howlers can instantly slay their nearest ally, but this will reveal your true Howler form for several seconds. Subsequent kills create longer cooldown times, so feast on your companions wisely.
Once a slain adventurer's corpse is located, a vote will be called to execute the adventurer suspected of the foul deed.
Adventurers and the treacherous Howler win through different means. If all Howlers are executed successfully through a vote, the Adventurers succeed in their grim task. Similarly, if the Howlers manage to execute all Adventurers, the night is theirs. If the Sacred Energy bar reaches 100% completion, the Adventurers win. If all Sacred Wards are destroyed, the Howlers win.
Rewards
Rewards are determined by how much you assist—or deter—your side’s victory. Collecting and turning in Sacred Energy, participating in voting your fellow Adventurers out, slaying Adventurers as the Howler and dealing with threats will contribute to your rewards.

FEATURE UPDATES
Familiars Optimization
Familiars have had their movement speed adjusted to speed up when further away from the player, and to slow down as they approach the player.
Pickup speed for item drops have been increased, to reduce player inconvenience when trying to pick up dropped items that have been marked by the Familiar for pickup.
Additionally, you can now decide how what your Familiar will prioritise.
Attack sets your Familiar to proactively seek enemies to engage, while Defend sets your Familiar to only engage enemies that you are currently attacking.
Lastly, Familiar Stones have been further optimized, making them more effective in keeping the best Skills and Attributes on your Familiar.
Familiar Melding
When Melding two Familiars together, automatic recommendations will be shown to the player on a summary screen. The recommendation can either be accepted, or players can click or tap the edit button to manually tune their selections. Once the player has confirmed they are comfortable with either of these methods, the finalized Familiar will be shown, and the Meld will have been completed.
Familiars and Wynton’s Grand Market
After listing a Familiar in Wynton’s Grand Market, it will take a few hours before the listing appears to other players.
Familiars Shop
A new filter option for traits has been added to the Familiars Shop menu. It is left of the displayed price for items.

Starting on February 19, the upper limits of Challenge Rift floors will be increased from 500 to 550. Also, the difficulty of monsters on Floors 481–500 will be decreased.
