Each story chapter has a different map, including combat commissions and exploration commissions. You can see and select it in the upper right corner.
Rally Commissions can also be found here. Rally Commissions are timed stages that end up with a Boss fight and are required to progress through game. These stages also give a good amount of rewards used to upgrade your Agents and advance your account.
Shiyu Defense
This game mode is the endgame part of Zenless Zone Zero and it cycles ever month.
In Shiyu Defense the objective is to defeat all the enemies as fast as possible. After completing one Shiyu Defense round you will get between 0 to 3 stars for that stage depending on how fast you did it. The more stars you get, the better the rewards you receive.
Shiyu Defense consists of 10 stages and reward 300 Polychromes each upon clearing it with 3 stars.
Later stages will require 2 teams of 3 units to enter.
Shiyu Defense resets periodically, allowing everyone to farm for Polychromes. (Polychromes are used for Premium Pulls)
Hollow Zero
This game mode is another part of the endgame in Zenless Zone Zero and it also cycles, but this time every week, compared to Shiyu defense.
In Hollow Zero you can select up to 3 Characters to enter inside the TV. Here you collect random set of buffs used to enhance your abilities, you could say that Hollow Zero is a roguelike game mode.
The goal is to defeat the boss in the final zone.
Each time when you start a new run, you will only start with 1 Character out of the 3 picked. The rest of the Characters can be unlocked by advancing through the stages.
Corruption is a de-buff (negative) that gets accumulated when you move through the zones, you can lower it by interacting with specific nodes. This can be removed by interacting with certain NPC’s.
This game mode does not cost any Battery Charges, and has no limit on how many times it can be played.
Hollow Zero resets each week, has weekly commissions that give you Polychromes and other materials used for upgrading Bangboos.
There is also a License Pass which gives Inter-Knot EXP, Polychromes and other materials mostly used for anything Bangboo related. The pass is leveled by obtaining Investigation Points which are limited to 5000 per week.
