Recommended Main Echo for Jiyan: Feilial Beringal
One of the best pure DPS echos in the game, capable of dealing good damage while also being swap cancelled and still granting it's boosting effect. Use this echo in the warm-up phase just moments before you plan to enter your Main DPS burst window and swap cancel it after it performs its first punch (it will continue and use the follow-up even after you switch). After that trigger your Hybrid or Supports concerto and then swap back to your damage dealer to perform your rotation with the buff active.
Recommended Endgame Stats for Jiyan
*Important — CRIT DMG shows 150% and Energy Regen shows 100% when you check in-game. The recommended stats below show how much on top of it you need to get.
ATK: 2100 or more
HP: 15000 or more
DEF: 1100 or more
AERO DMG%: 60% or more
CRIT RATE%: 70%+ or a 1/2 ratio with C.DMG
CRIT DMG% 110% or more
Energy Regeneration (Minimum): 15-25% - Jiyan is a character that lives or dies by his ultimate and not having it up at the right opportunity can mean tanking his DPS into the floor. Having said that, you can get away with running less Energy Regeneration on him. If you're comfortable in fully landing the majority of your entire burst combo, your echo, AND landing a minimum of 1 (but ideally 2) skills in the warm-up phase go for this energy recharge range.
Energy Regeneration (Conservative): 25-40% - If you want some insurance for when a portion of your burst doesn't hit due to a boss dodging or flying away and or you're not confident in consistently hitting your Echo or 1-2 skills in the warm-up phase go for this energy recharge range instead.

Jiyan F2P Team
Jiyan F2P Team | ||
---|---|---|
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
Jiyan | Yangyang | Baizhi |
This free-to-play team composition relies on Yangyang providing Resonance Energy for Jiyan so that he can use his Resonance Liberation sooner.
Your third slot can be Baizhi or any other healer if you have them.
Gameplay
Yangyang starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up. She can use her Resonance Liberation to group up small enemies.
Once Jiyan is fully charged, you can switch to him so he can use his Intro Skill. Switching from Yangyang to Jiyan will restore the latter's Resonance Energy.
Use Jiyan's Resonance Liberation to enter Qingloong Mode and deal a lot of DMG with his Resonance Skill and Heavy Attacks.
Switch to Yangyang again once the Concerto Energy has fully charged up. If you need healing, switch to Baizhi and use their healing skill for a quick heal.
Repeat the steps until the enemy is felled.
Jiyan Team 2
Jiyan Team 2 | ||
---|---|---|
Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
Jiyan | Mortefi | Verina |
This team composition focuses on buffing Jiyan's overall damage in battle using Verina and Mortefi's buffs. Verina will provide healing and ATK buffs to the entire party while Mortefi can increase Jiyan's Heavy Attack DMG.
Gameplay
Verina starts the battle and charges the Concerto Energy until the other Resonator's icons glow up.
Once Mortefi is fully charged, switch to Mortefi. Verina's Outro Skill will increase his ATK and provides the entire party with an All-Type DMG Deepen buff.
Keep attacking the enemy with Mortefi until his Resonance Liberation is up. Activate Mortefi's Resonance Liberation as soon as you can and then switch to Jiyan to increase the latter's Heavy Attack DMG.
Use Jiyan's Resonance Liberation to enter Qingloong Mode and deal a lot of DMG with his Resonance Skill and Heavy Attacks.
Repeat the steps until the enemy is felled.

How to Play Jiyan
Basic Attacks and Intro Skill Increase Resolve
Jiyan's Basic Attack Forte and Intro Skill can increase his Resolve Stacks. You can get a total of 60 Resolve stacks and if Jiyan hasn't attacked an enemy within 15 seconds, Resolve will gradually decrease.
If Jiyan has at least 30 stacks of Resolve, it will be consumed to increase the DMG of his Resonance Skill by 20% or enhance his Resonance Liberation so it can deal damage upon activation.
How to Check Resolve Stacks?
You can check Jiyan's Resolve Stack count on his Forte Gauge. If Jiyan's Forte is half-full, he already has a total of 30 Resolve which can be used on his Resonance Skill or Resonance Liberation.
Use Resolve on Resonance Liberation to Deal DMG
We recommend building up Resolve and using it on Jiyan's Resonance Liberation since it will deal a lot of damage upon activation.
When Jiyan's Resonance Liberation isn't activated, avoid using his Resonance Skill to consume Resolve and instead use the Skill when he's in Qingloong Mode since the former provides a lot more damage with Resolve.
Qingloong Mode Converts Basic Attacks into Heavy Attacks
When Jiyan enters Qingloong Mode after using his Resonance Liberation, his Basic Attacks will be converted into Heavy Attacks. Jiyan's Heavy Attacks deal a lot of AoE damage and can group up small enemies.
Do note that the Heavy Attack stats during Qingloong Mode are from Jiyan's Resonance Liberation and not from his Basic Attack Forte.
Resonance Skill Doesn't Consume Resolve
During Qingloong Mode, Jiyan's Resonance Skill gains an additional 20% DMG increase and will not consume Resolve stacks.
Jiyan Combos
Entering Qingloong Mode Combo
Combo: Intro Skill → Mid-Air Attack → Echo → Res. Liberation (ULT)
When using Jiyan, ideally you would want to hit enemies with his Intro Skill first to collect the Resolve stacks. After using Jiyan's Intro Skill, use Jiyan's Mid-air Attack then use his Echo to deal damage and get buffs before activating his Enhanced Resonance Liberation.
During Qingloong Mode Combo
Combo: (During Qingloong Mode) Heavy Attack 1 → Res. Skill → Heavy Attacks → Res. Skill when available
During Qingloong Mode, use the first Heavy Attack and when the teal dragon shows up, quickly use your Resonance Skill to maximize the DPS.
After using your Resonance Skill, just use your Heavy Attacks until you can access your Resonance Skill or the Qingloong Mode ends.
