New Level Cap, Paragon and Stats Rework. Leveling Dungeon, Torment I Difficulty, Party Finder, More Stash & Extra Gem Slots
Progression Updates
New Level Cap
With the new Expansion Vessel of Hatred there will be permanent changes to the progression and levelling system similar to Itemization Changes in the past.
The Level Cap will be lowered to Level 60 and the Paragon Tree will receive a couple of tweaks too.
Paragon Changes
"A lot of changes" are coming to Paragon. The update will be adding more depth and choices without making it overly complex.
Some players already say that Paragon is "pretty daunting" and they don't want to go crazy with it. Hopefully this Paragon System overhaul will make it more approachable and add cool stuff to do with it.
Blizzard will be revealing more on 29 August 2024.
Party Finder System
They finally listened to the community. Party Finder is here and was one of the most anticipated feature we needed in Diablo 4.
This new feature will be available across all Diablo 4 servers when Vessel of Hatred releases, allowing you to play with friends or strangers in pretty much any game mode.
Create a Party with Party Finder
Party Finder gives you the search for the type of party you’re looking for, set what game type or activity you’d like to run, where you’d like to play, and add preferences for both casual and hardcore players.
You can use Party Finder to create or find a party for multiple activities within the game: Nightmare Dungeons, selecting Wings to complete in the Dark Citadel, finding other players to share Materials to summon Endgame Bosses, to completing your Codex of Power.
You can access Party Finder with quick access via the Map, in-game Menu, or through a pre-set action on your emote wheel.
Torment 1 Difficulty
At the moment we have 4 World Tiers in Diablo 4:
World Tier I — Adventurer
World Tier II — Veteran
World Tier III — Nightmare
World Tier IV — Torment
Torment 1 difficulty is unlocked after clearing The Pit 15.
Notice in the Find Party photos Blizzard revealed, the difficulty Level is Torment 1 which means we might possibly get another Level of difficulty on top of Torment.
This might be a similar aspect to Diablo III where there are 8 Torment difficulties. Hopefully Diablo 4 will keep it a bit lower than that.
Armory coming?
Many of you pointed out in the community Discord that in the Dark Citadel Reveal you noticed a new Icon in the Character Inventory. (see photo above)
Player speculation is that Diablo 4 devs. will finally bring Armory to the game and easy our pain to change Builds, as you probably already know that changing builds can be quite daunting and slow.
More Stash Tabs and Extra Gem Slots in Items
From the same photo you can also notice that the Helms have two sockets now and the Inventory has 2 extra Stash Tabs one that looks like a Key and the other Like a Diamond.
What do you think this is going to be?
Stats Massively Reduced
Once again from the same photo we can notice that the Character stats are massively reduced — 3000 attack power, 830 armor and 1600 Life. By the looks of it with this new Progression System we are going to receive a complete overhaul on Leveling, Paragon System and also on overall Stats acquired through Building your Class in the endgame.
The Kurast Undercity
The Kurast Undercity is a new multistage, time-attack dungeon perfect for levelling towards endgame content and targeting powerful items to help you progress.
The Undercity unlocks at level 15.
Gameplay
Greatly increase the quality of your rewards by earning Attunement—gained through killing monsters and completing events—slay powerful Afflicted demons to extend your time in the Undercity to reach the final boss.
Rewards
Throughout Sanctuary and within the Undercity, you’ll earn keys called Tributes which can be used to augment future runs to target specific rewards. Completing activities while in the Undercity collects Attunement, which increases the quality of the loot rewarded after slaying one of the Undercity’s all-new bosses. Higher quality Tributes yield the greatest spoils, but they also raise the challenge of your next Undercity run considerably.
It looks like Leveling in Diablo 4 will be even faster once again. If now it takes 6 to 12 hours to get to 100, or 1 to 3 days as a casual. With the new Level Cap lowered to 60 and this new Leveling Dungeon we might be able to level to 100 in 1 hour. *sigh
There will be an in-depth Campfire Chat on 29 August. So stay tuned!
